Canada WeatherCanada has a mix of different weather, varying by location. In most of the country, especially the central Praire provinces, winters can be very cold, with average daily temperatures as low as -15°C (5°F), and sometimes falling to -40°C (-40°F) and severe windchill. The exception to this pattern are the coastal regions of British Columbia which experience much milder (but rainy) winters. In the summer, Canada experiences much warmer temperatures, but again there is much regional variation. Coastal regions typically have average temperatures in the between 20°C (70°F), whereas the central Praire provinces are warmer with temperatures normally in the range of 25°C (75°F) to 30° (85°F), but in occasionally as high as 40°C (104°F). |
